Pete Townshend- Empty Glass 45th 4-21

“On Empty Glass I was groping for a title for the album which would demonstrate what I believed at the time, which was that I was there with an empty heart,” Pete Townshend confided here In the Studio. “I felt that I was ready to undertake a journey (of enlightenment) but that I wasn’t particularly equipped. All that I knew was that my heart was like an empty glass waiting to be filled with something.”

Pete Townshend’s associates have wisely found that this forty-fifth anniversary of his second solo album, Empty Glass from April 1980, to be a fitting point to collect his most popular individual efforts  including Who Came First, Empty Glass, All the Best Cowboys Have Chineses Eyes, White City, and Psychoderelict into a fitting collection. Pete Townshend is my guest for the hour on the forty-fifth anniversary of Empty Glass here In the Studio the week of April 21. -Redbeard
